It certainly doesn't feel like fall here in Mississippi, but up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, apple picking season is already underway. Which means that apple cider isn't far behind. SFA member Whitney Brown, a farmhand at Elysian Fields Farm in Cedar Ridge, North Carolina, spent Labor Day weekend helping with the harvest at Foggy Ridge Cider in Dugspur, Virginia. If you're stuck in 97-degree heat like we are, here's hoping this photo cools you off.
