Cooley to Present at History Conference

Jill Cooley, the SFA's foodways postdoc, is giving a paper later this week at the 9th Southern Conference on Women's History at TCU in Fort Worth, Texas. Jill's paper is entitled, "Mrs. Brown's Body: Sexual Representations of Female Servers in Southern Eateries, 1900–1940." Based on a case in turn-of-the-[twentieth]-century Atlanta, Cooley's paper "will explore associations of sexuality and prostitution with public waitressing in the South in the first decades of the twentieth century."

Go get 'em, Jill!
